Besides, she has also transformed the life of many other women by providing them jobs in a candle-producing unit, run by her in Panna district.

About a year ago, Sunita's husband Ramesh Singh used to work as a taxi driver with a paltry earning of Rs 1,500 per month. She pitched in to contribute by acquiring training in making candles, provided by the District Urban Development Authority, Panna. Soon she started making candles from her home. Her decorative pieces easily found a market in Panna.

“First I started making candles in my house. Later, I realised it was indeed a lucrative trade,” Sunita said. This encouraged her to impart training in making designer candles, which could fetch her a handsome price.
