Issuing an official reply to the charges levelled by AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh, the commission’s deputy secretary Vandana Vaidya said the first result had 380 names of successful candidates. Due to clerical errors, six candidates’ names were repeated in the list. Hence, the results were re-declared on December 9, 2014.

The deputy secretary said none of the candidates were either added or removed in the entire process of correcting the list.

Regarding the Congress leader’s charges, the deputy secretary said the question papers for the examination were properly sealed in packets and were in the custody of security guards provided by the commission.
