Terming the move as highly insulting for women, Singh said that it amounts to violation of human rights and is derogatory for the entire women folk, a release said in Bhopal on Sunday.

Singh expected from the government to effectively check corruption in the social welfare schemes and hoped that it will take appropriate measures to restore the pride of the women in the state.

The former Chief Minister will also write a letter in this regard to the State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the release said.
