Satyadev Katare will sit on a dharna outside CM's residence. Katare said he had been writing letters to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding PEB scam and other important issues, but the CM is not replying.

Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly Satyadev Katare will sit on a dharna outside chief minister's residence on November 1. Katare said he had been writing letters to the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding PEB scam and other important issues, but the CM is not replying.

"I have written 26 letters to him but he replied to just two letters. The CM is also not giving information on various issues which I had sought," Katare said in a press conference on Saturday. "I complained to the President and the Union government apart from the BJP president about the lack of response from CM," added.

"There are no replies about my letters regarding irregularities in MPPSC and in examinations through MPOnline," he further said. The leader of Opposition said that he wrote to the Union home ministry about the lack of communication, and even got a reply. "The ministry of home affairs then wrote a letter to the state home secretary about the information I had sought," he said.

"In the case of PEB scam, I asked for marks-sheets of Class 10 of candidates so that the domicile status of candidates could be known, but they were not provided," he added. In the transport constables' recruitment examination scam, norms pertaining to women's reservation were not followed.

Further, there was no police verification before final recruitment of the candidates, which is conducted to ensure the person hasn't committed unlawful activities in the past. Neither the police head quarters (PHQ), nor the transport department, are giving information in this regard.

"The STF registered case against 39 persons in the transport scam a year after the high court took the cognisance of the case. Earlier, the CM had claimed that there were no irregularities in this examination. Transport minister also asserted that there was no scam. However, finally STF had to register the case. Doesn’t it show the BJP’s double standards," Katare quizzed.

Cong lacks issues: BJP

BJP said that Congress lacks issues and hence Katare is talking about sitting on dharna. "The STF is already conducting investigation into PEB scam and the probe is being directly monitored by high court," said BJP state chief Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan, later in the day.

Chauhan said that Katare is a 'pareshaan praani' (confused person) who is facing conspiracy within his own party (Congress) and hence, he is planning to sit on dharna in front of CM House.

He didn't specify though who is conspiring against Katare within Congress. Regarding irregularities in transport recruitment exam, the BJP state president said that a fair probe was being conducted by the STF.
