MP: Investment proposals worth Rs 1,051 crore signed at Exportech

The 8th Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (MP Exportech-2015), organised by the Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam in cooperation with the central and state governments, concluded here on Saturday.

As many as 75 foreign buyers and 110 representatives of 17 countries, including ambassadors and high commissioners, participated in the meet.

In all, 85 expressions of interest (EoIs) worth Rs 1,051 crore were signed between buyers and sellers, which will convert to work orders in coming days, a government release said.

Samyak Industries of Jabalpur received Rs 1.5 crore order from Mega Splits Limited of Bulgaria for Kranti brand rice.

Laghu Udyog Nigam managing director Anupam Rajan said that during the three-day programme, an exhibition, buyer-to-buyer meeting and vendor development workshop were held, while the director general of foreign trade gave information about ways to enhance exports.

Principal secretary (industries) Mohammad Suleman, who was present as the chief guest, said the Exportech had created an atmosphere of enthusiasm between buyers and sellers. Special guest and commissioner, Industries, VL Kanta Rao said that it was a major exposure to the state’s MSMEs.
