According to information, two people were killed and 50 others injured in the poll-related violence. At several places, police were challenged by rioters, who fired in the air, pelted stones, captured polling booths and looted ballot papers.

District SP Vineet Khanna said inquiry into the conduct of some more police personnel was being carried out and similar action would be taken against them if they were found guilty.

Among the police personnel suspended, there were four head constables, four constables and an assistant sub-inspector.

Khanna said re-polling had to be ordered at 10 polling booths. He, however, said more than 100 identified and several unidentified people have been booked for dacoity and indulging in violence during polls. Police were carrying out search operation to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, a person was shot dead in poll-related violence at Semarpura village on Saturday, police said. The deceased Pansingh Narvariya, 20, had gone to the fields when the incident took place. On Sunday, his body was found lying in a pool of blood.
