He was produced in the court and remanded to STF custody till November 21 on Tuesday.

The key accused of MPPEB scam, including Pankaj Trivedi and Nitin Mahindra, had reportedly disclosed that the minister had recommended 12-15 names for recruitment as contract teachers through his personal assistant OP Shukla.

According to STF officials, OP Shukla, who is already in jail in connection with his role in many cases related to MPPEB scam, had also confessed to have recommended at least 15 names to MPPEB officials on behalf of Sharma for recruitment as contract teachers.

Sharma was earlier arrested in connection with his role in contract teacher grade-2 recruitment scam-2012, police constable recruitment scam-2012 and food inspector recruitment scam-2012 and was in jail.
