The mudslinging between ruling BJP and the Congress over MPPEB scam in Madhya Pradesh continued even on Tuesday with the latter reaching the office of chief income tax commissioner and handing over a memorandum addressed to director, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), raising question over incriminating documents seized during I-T raid on the premises of builder Dileep Suryavanshi and mining baron Sudhir Sharma, both supposed to be close to BJP.
The raid was conducted at the premises of two businessmen simultaneously on June 20, 2012.
The Congress memorandum said that the information derived from papers seized during raids shows deep involvement of BJP leaders and their kin in the business activities of two controversial businessmen, how they provided them with luxurious goods and gadgets, arranged for their travel and how the BJP leaders reciprocated their ‘courtesy’.
On Saturday, a BJP delegation had gone to chief commissioner, I-T office, accusing that Congress leader, Digvjaya Singh had taken a bribe of `10 crore from a builder and he had admitted having given the money to Digvjjaya Singh in his capacity as chief minister.
The BJP has demanded that the matter should be further probed and Digvjjaya’s indictment, if found guilty.

{{/usCountry}}The Congress then shot back with lodging similar complaint at the same police station against a host of BJP leaders including Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, former Rajya Sabha member Raghunandan Sharma, state legislative affairs minister Narottam Mishra for appointments made in the state assembly secretariat during the BJP regime. But the police did not register the FIR against BJP leaders as it had done instantly in the complaint against Digvjjaya and Tiwari.
Reacting to the Congress charge, Dileep Suryavanshi said that no documents related to any politician were found in the I-T raid at his premises and it could be confirmed from I-T office.
BJP state spokesperson and MLA Vishwas Sarang sought to dismiss allegations against BJP leaders as misleading and said top Congress leaders were finding themselves dragged in one scam or the other and they wished to brush leaders of other parties with black brush.
