Pulmonary valve replaced for first time at Hamidia

For the first time in Hamidia Hospital a patient’s pulmonary valve was replaced. The assistant professor of the cardiothoracic surgery department of the Gandhi Medical College (GMC) Dr Praveen Sharma operated upon Ramcharan, 65, a resident of Silwani, Raisen district and replaced his pulmonary valve.

For the first time in Hamidia Hospital a patient’s pulmonary valve was replaced. The assistant professor of the cardiothoracic surgery department of the Gandhi Medical College (GMC) Dr Praveen Sharma operated upon Ramcharan, 65, a resident of Silwani, Raisen district and replaced his pulmonary valve.

Ramcharan was suffering from respiratory disorder for the past nine months. There was swelling in both his legs and he was unable to walk without support. This disease is known as severe pulmonary valve stenosis.
