Toll row: Bail plea of Maharashtra min's son today

The bail plea of Kunal Raut, the son of Maharashtra minister Nitin Raut, will be heard by a court in Hoshangabad today. Kunal and four others were arrested by the police for roughing up a forest official apart from staff at the toll plaza. HT reports.

The bail plea of Kunal Raut, the son of Maharashtra minister Nitin Raut, will be heard by a court in Hoshangabad on Saturday. Kunal and four others were arrested by the police for roughing up a forest official apart from staff at the toll plaza.

All the five were arrested and produced in the court. They were subsequently sent to judicial custody. The five persons including Kunal, Sanmeet, Shoaib, Swapnil and Antarpreet, all residents of Nagpur are lodged in jail.

They belong to Nagpur and had come to Pachmarhi for an outing. On way to Pachmarhi, they had a row at the toll plaza. They allegedly beat up the staff--Bablu Rajawat and Ramesh apart from a forest official, Ejaz Khan.

The car-borne persons then escaped and moved towards Pachmarhi. Meanwhile, the police registered a case. On way back, the car was identified and stopped. The five youths were arrested.
