Actor Richa Chadha is satisfied that her maiden production will be screened in Australia.

Actor Richa Chadha is elated that her first stint as a producer has proved successful, as her film has been chosen for screening in Australia. This has encouraged her to produce more such projects.

Actor Richa Chadda wants to produce meaningful cinema.

The film, which is based on the riots caused by the Khalistan movement in Punjab, will be screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The film received a positive response as people understood it on a personal level.

“”I am so happy that the film has been appreciated by audience around the film industry. It only goes on to show that the scope of content driven short films is so bright. This makes me want to associate myself further with good and meaningful projects. Kudos to the director and the entire team for putting this great effort,” says Chadha, who was last seen in the film Sarbjit alongside actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda.

“When I made this film, the only thing I wanted was that this story should reach out to people who have gone through such experiences. Even though the backdrop is political, it’s something which everyone can relate to. Thanks to Richa who has very graciously produced and presented the film, its finally finding a larger audience. It feels great that now it’s travelling across the globe. I am really excited and now looking forward to the screening at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne as it’s a different culture. Let’s see how they react to this story and what aspect do they relate to,” says Inderjit.
