Agent Vinod show raises funds for NGO

Krushika Lulla, wife of Sunil Lulla of Eros, recently organised a charity screening of Saif Ali Khan-starrer Agent Vinod, a film financed by Eros, to raise money for an NGO.

Krushika Lulla, wife of Sunil Lulla of Eros, recently organised a charity screening of Saif Ali Khan-starrer Agent Vinod, a film financed by Eros, to raise money for an NGO.

Supporting YFO (Young FICCI Organisation), which takes on responsibility of educating the kids of sex workers, she says, “The charity helps them pursue an education and career. No one really thinks about these kids, as most charities are for various diseases, orphanages, old age homes etc. YFO takes care of the kids, provides them one substantial meal a day and ensures they go to school and lead a normal life. For grown up kids, the NGO teaches them a variety of vocational skills to enable them to work, even get them their first job and make a better life for themselves.”

Although Krushika wanted to donate money herself, she also wanted to create awareness about these kids and thus, thought of charity screenings. “When I spoke to my friends and family, they were eager to help. I will space them out as I don’t know if people would be willing to shell out money that often,” she adds. Her next charity screening might not be the upcoming Eros release, Housefull 2, but will be another Eros film.
