Apparently, Akshay and Aaditya want to soon start these classes in Thane. It will be followed by a centre in Surat, Gujarat. The idea is to open 100 such self-defence classes across the country in the next five years. In fact, a few weeks back, Shreya Naik, a 19-year-old girl from Andheri, who had trained at the Mumbai centre, single-handedly fought off a molester and got him arrested too.
“What Shreya went through was her worst nightmare. But the best part of her ordeal was that she conquered that nightmare with utter determination. She didn’t freeze. She put all her training to use, and dragged that man to the police station. That was a proud moment for me,” says Akshay.
