Amrya Dastur doesn’t want to be just a pretty face on screen

Amrya Dastur wants to do meaty roles on screen and wants her audience to love her work.

Amrya Dastur is currently shooting with Santhanam for her upcoming Tamil film.

The failure of Mr. X (2015) at the box office left actor Amrya Dastur worries about her future. She says that it also taught her not to have any expectations and she now firmly believes her hard work will speak for her.

“I always wanted to work with Emraan Hashmi. So imagine my happiness when Mr. X was offered to me. I gave my 100% percent but when the film didn’t do well, I was disappointed. But I have learnt my lesson now and have decided to work hard and not think about the result. All I want is that the audience love my films and even if only one person does it, then I will feel that my work has paid off,” smiles Amrya, who was last seen in the Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood starrer Kung Fu Yoga.

The actor says that her Kung Fu Yoga stint has brought her fame and is getting her good offers. “I am taking time to decide on whatever is being offered to me. I don’t want to be just a pretty face on screen. As an actor I am looking for meaty roles. In all my films till date I actually had proper parts to play, both in Bollywood and films down south,” says the 22-year-old actor.
