Anupam Kher, whose father Pushkar Nath Kher passed away on Friday, organised a unique prayer ceremony for him on Monday. The actor invited a rock band to peform at the ceremony.

Actor Anupam Kher, whose father Pushkar Nath Kher passed away on Friday, organised a unique prayer ceremony for him on Monday, where he invited a rock band to perform.



"Today is my father’s Prayer ceremony. I know he wants us to celebrate life. So there will be Rock band playing in His memory at d ceremony:) (sic)," Kher posted on Twitter.

Pushkar Nath Kher, 84, was not keeping well lately. The actor was on his way to David Dhawan's son Rohit's wedding in Goa when he learnt about the tragic news.

Kher had tweeted on his father's birthday on January 28: "Many men can make a fortune, but very few can build a family. My father did just that. It is his 84th birthday today. Best Dad Ever.:)"
