Anushka Sharma, who is co-producing the Navdeep Singh-directed NH10, will do her own stunt scenes. The director wanted a body double for a tough rock climbing scene, but she insisted on doing it herself.

When actors don the hat of a producer, they don't mind going the extra mile for their own film. This is very much the case with Anushka Sharma, who is co-producing the Navdeep Singh-directed NH10.

Sources from the sets of the film say that the actor has been putting in extra effort to put in her best performance in the film. So far, most of the roles Anushka has played have been softer characters, but in this film, she will have some stunts and action scenes too.

Since she hadn't done stunts before, Navdeep was reluctant to let Anushka enact them, but she urged him to give her a chance. "There was a rock climbing scene to be shot recently, and a body double had been called. But Anushka insisted on doing the scene herself," says a source, adding, "Being an army kid, Anushka loves challenges. She also trained and practised to be able to enact some hand-to-hand combat scenes," he says.

Co-producer Vikramaditya Motwane confirms the news and says, "It's a gritty thriller, so the action is very real. We felt a body double is better trained to do such stunts, but Anushka wanted to do them herself. So we roped in trainer to oversee the shoot."
