Madhuri Dixit recently made a comeback to Bollywood films with Dedh Ishqiya and her performance in the movie was highly admired.

She will next be seen in Anubhav Sinha’s production, Gulaab Gang. And we’ve been informed that the makers of the film are planning to have the music launch in Benares, Uttar Pradesh.

"We will be launching the music of the film in the beautiful city of Benares. As we conceptualised the movie there, it feels nice to be going back to the place," says Soumik Sen, director of the film.

A source close to the film says Madhuri will recite a Hindi poem by Dushyant Kumar at the event.

"We will have an unusual music launch in Benares later this month. Since Gulaab Gang is based on the atrocities faced by women, Madhuri, who plays the lead role in the film, will recite a poem about women’s empowerment," says the source.

This poem will be directed especially towards the empowerment of women in rural areas, where they face atrocities in their daily lives, and often don’t have the means or encouragement to fight for themselves.

Gulaab Gang also stars Juhi Chawla in a pivotal role.
