Bollywood’s wedding fever continues as another celebrity couple, Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal, is all set to tie the knot. Interestingly, the real life couple can be seen together in their upcoming whodunnit, Nirdosh, and, by the looks of it, their chemistry in the film seems quite bold.

Surprisingly, despite knowing each other for over a decade and dating for the past couple of years, the duo found shooting the sensuous scenes difficult. “It’s our first film together as a couple. Maheck and I always thought that bringing our chemistry on screen will not be an issue as we’re already dating in real life, but it turned out to be otherwise. After a couple of shots, both of us were under the impression that we had nailed it, but later we realised that we had taken it for granted that our chemistry would be perceived on screen as well,” reveals Ashmit, last seen in the Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho (2014).

Maheck added that they were getting conscious while shooting such scenes in front of so many people. “To be on camera, how we are inside closed doors, was actually nerve-racking. When you are at home, you hug and kiss someone spontaneously. But on the set, you have to be careful about where the camera is, where the lights are, whether the position of your arms and feet are correct. Even a kissing scene onscreen is choreographed. You have to work extra hard to make it looking convincing and appealing at the same time,” shared Maheck, who has been a part of several Hindi and Telugu movies, and was seen alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Salman Khan in Chameli (2004) and Wanted (2009), respectively.
