She is just one film old, but actor Esha Gupta, who debuted with Jannat 2 earlier this year, says that Bollywood is cruel and life in the industry is not easy.
“Most of the people have the perception that we just do a movie and earn big bucks. Not only that, there are extremely long and gruelling work schedules and we are always under the scanner — be it promotions, what we wear or who we hang out with. People judge you everywhere. Also, we have to take extra care of our health and looks,” says the 26-year-old, adding, “Though Bollywood is cruel, I’m loving being a part of it. I get recognised when I walk down the road and that gives me a high,” says the actor, who visited the HT house on Tuesday to promote her film Raaz 3, in which she is paired with Emraan Hashmi, who was also her first co-star.

“Raaz 3 was not easy for me. It became easy because of Emraan. He helped me in getting the emotions right,” she says.
