“I think I had reached a point in life when I had to settle down. I was someone who always planned on having a simple, private ceremony. That’s who I am as a person. But I do feel big celebrations are in order for every single person who has touched my life. That is definitely going to happen in some time,” says Minissha, who along with Ryan, hosted a small after-party for close friends.

The 30-year-old actor was in a relationship with Ryan, owner of a nightclub, for two years. It did not take long for her to realise that Ryan is the one for her. “Two months into a relationship with him, I knew that he was the one,” she says. Minissha made her Bollywood debut with Yahaan (2005) and then went on to do films such as Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Shaurya (2008) and Bheja Fry (2007). Although, currently she is not signing any projects, she says marriage will not be a hindrance in her career. “Marriage does not mean that my life is over. I am sure I will be able to do great character roles in films. I don’t like to think that if I am married, work will not happen. If work has to happen it will,” she says. Talking about her husband’s opinion regarding her career, she says, “He comes from a school of thought which says that he should support me whether I am working or not. I come from the school of thought which tells me to feel proud when I work; I am someone who needs to work.”
