Did John copy Avatar actor's tattoo?

Though John Abraham has a style statement of his own, his tattoo in the film Force bears an uncanny resemblance to actor Sam Worthington’s tattoo in Hollywood film Avatar.

Both the tattoos are in black and have abstract designs. But is it a coincidence that both John and Sam have carved the tattoo in their right arms?

"No, it wasn't copied deliberately. It just happened by fluke. John plays undercover narcotic officer in Force. He had to camouflage his real identity as a cop, which is why we gave him a tattoo to look different," Mid Day quotes a source from the unit.

Reportedly when the actor came to know that his tattoo is similar to Sam's, he got kicked up about the coincidence as he's a huge fan of James Cameron.

Was this contrived or really a coincidence?
