Fast & Furious cinematographer joins Emraan Hashmi’s maiden production

The actor gets acclaimed Hollywood cinematographer Amir Mokri on board for his first venture as a producer.

According to recent reports, Emraan Hashmi will be turning producer in collaboration with the director of his last film, Tony D’Souza. The two are currently putting together the script, cast and crew for the film.

A source close to Emraan says, “He is kicked about the association and is leaving no stone unturned to get the best [people] on board, who can match Tony’s vision for the movie. One of the first crew members to join the production is Amir Mokri.”

Mokri is an acclaimed Iranian cinematographer, who has worked on films like Fast & Furious (2009), Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (2011) and Man Of Steel (2013), to name a few. Talking about Mokri, Tony says, “I’ve known him for a very long time. In fact, I wanted him to be part of my first film, but that couldn’t happen as he was busy with other projects at that time. We decided to approach him for this movie, and he agreed. He will do justice to the film.”
