Ferrari Ki Sawaari makers spend lakhs on mosambis

Apparently, the Sharman Joshi-starrer features a song about life, and the lyrics compare it with mosambi. The song was being shot in Mumbai during the off-season of the fruit and although the crew had planned to get loads of mosambis for the shoot, the makers were told they were falling short of the requirement. Then, it became a task for the team to hunt for ripe mosambis as per the visual demands of the song.

After going through a lot of struggle, on the morning of the song shoot in the city, the film’s team finally managed to arrange for mosambis worth Rs 5 lakh from the wholesale markets.

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani’s assistant, Mapuskar, the Ferrari Ki Sawaari shoot is very much on schedule, contrary to reports about the film being delayed. After completing the first schedule recently, the team embarked on its second schedule from June 9 onwards. The first schedule, in fact, saw the filming of two songs composed by music director, Pritam.

In the second schedule, actor Boman Irani, who plays a pivotal role in the film, joined the team with the lead actor of the film Sharman Joshi. The film will be 50 per cent complete at the end of the second schedule. The makers plan to complete the shooting by November.
