When the heart is forever young, why would anyone be scared of ageing? That’s the philosophy Dharmendra, Bollywood’s first drop-dead gorgeous hunk, lives by. And we couldn’t agree more when he says age has nothing to do with your wishes.

Do you think his time for dancing around trees is long gone? Garam Dharam doesn’t agree. If he could have his way, he says, there are seven contemporary female actors he’d be thrilled to romance on screen.

Here’s his list of heroines of today he’d love to work with. (Film producers- does this give you any ideas?)

Priyanka Chopra: When I first saw Priyanka on the sets of her first film, The Hero (2003), opposite my son Sunny, I thought she was a Muslim beauty. I was taken in by her emotional scenes. Over the years, she has proved her mettle as an actor and she has a naughty sex appeal. Had I been younger, Priyanka and I would have made a smoking hot couple on screen.

Katrina Kaif

: She is a lovely person to be around, beautiful and extremely sexy. Her sex appeal comes from her innocence and, the best part is, she is completely unaware of it. We would have made a good-looking couple on screen.

Deepika Padukone: I first met her at a party arranged by Hindustan Times. And because she plays badminton, which is also my favourite sport, we connected on that and, of course, movies.

I saw her in Om Shanti Om (2007) and thought she looked divinely beautiful and fairly in control of her acting.

Anushka Sharma: I saw glimpses of her in Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and had a fine impression of her as an actor. She’s got spontaneity and naturalness that will help her mark her presence.

Kareena Kapoor: I have worked with her mother, Babita, in Kab? Kyoon? Aur Kahan? (1970). It would be nice to work with her too. Kareena is very pretty and a fine actor. It’s always a treat to have beautiful girls as heroines.

Madhuri Dixit: Kya kahoon unke baarein mein? (What do I say about her?) She’s a great dancer, a beautiful girl and one of the finest actors in Hindi cinema. I like the fact that she has maintained herself so well today. She looks lovelier with every passing day.
