Ask her if adjustments and compromises are challenging to deal with post marriage, and Bipasha says, “Compromises do get tougher with time, but with me and Karan, it has been smooth. We don’t interfere in each other’s work and respect one another’s space.”

From the couple’s relationship status to details of their big day, Bipasha and Karan were much discussed since the start of 2016. But what got everyone talking was Bipasha supposedly receiving a Rs 10 crore flat from Salman Khan as a wedding gift. “It was ridiculous. Why would Salman gift me house, that too costing 10 crore?” says Bipasha. But the actor was “happy” that Salman attended her wedding. “That was a big present in itself,” she says.

In May, Bipasha also lashed out at those who trolled her honeymoon pictures on social media. But do negative comments really affect her? “People use brutal language on social media,” she says, adding, “They can be so harsh and negative to a person they don’t even know. It’s baffling.”

Finally, ask her if the term ‘shelf life’ worries her, considering the general perception is that a woman’s career in Bollywood ends after marriage, and Bipasha says, “No, it does not. And instead of talking about ‘shelf life’ of married actresses, I really wonder, with the influx of new artistes, how many leading ladies will last for the next 15-20 years.”
