Holiday beats Gunday, is third biggest hit of 2014

With Rs 88 crore already in its kitty, this Akshay Kumar-starrer directed by AR Murugadoss has already beaten Gunday and experts say it is looking good for entering Rs 100-crore club, as of now populated by 2 States and Jai Ho.

Akshay Kumar-starrer Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is in its second week and has earned Rs 88 crore, racing ahead of Ranveer Singh-Priyanka Chopra-starrer Gunday. A trade expert says it’s inching closer to Rs 100-crore mark at the box office.

The Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer hit the screens June 6 and has made good at the BO so far. The film has earned Rs 88 crore on the ticket windows while Gunday netted a total of Rs 78.06. Up ahead are Alia-Arjun-starrer 2 States (Rs 102 crore) and Salman Khan's Jai Ho.





After Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2, this will be the third film starring Akshay Kumar to enter the Rs 100-crore club.
