Actor Anushka Ranjan, who made her Bollywood debut last year with Wedding Pullav, is a fitness enthusiast. The actor is currently learning mixed martial arts (MMA), a full-contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques.

“An actor should always be prepared to play a variety of roles and learning MMA will benefit my personal growth and I’ve already started seeing results,” says Anushka, who is currently on the lookout for interesting projects. In fact, Anushka adds that the training will not only help her with her action projects, but is also helping her build up on her stamina as well as giving her a better lifestyle. “MMA is helpful not only as a talent but also keeps you fit and flexible and makes you more disciplined,” she adds.

The actor is inspired by her contemporary, actor Tiger Shroff, who is a fitness expert. “I like the action that Tiger does. I know to be able to do that I’ll need a lot of practice but I’d like to be able to do stunts like that,” she says.
