Since the time she took a plunge into Bollywood with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011), actor Parineeti Chopra has usually been seen as the vivacious girl-next-door, but now the 25-year-old wants an image makeover with an action film, something she feels she’ll be good at.

"Next, I’d like to do an action film. I think I won’t be bad at beating up people. It will not be difficult for me, I feel," she says. However, Parineeti doesn’t want to completely disassociate with the romantic genre just yet. She shares that she would like to do a typical, clichéd romantic film.
'
"I would like to do a rom-com [which the urban audience can relate to]. Even if it’s clichéd, it doesn’t matter. It just has to be a sweet, urban one. Most of my films have been rom-coms but always with a twist in them, so I’d like to do a simple and easy film," informs Parineeti.
The actor is also not averse to branching out into other departments of film-making, and, in fact, is keen on taking up production, just like her cousin Priyanka Chopra. "Direction is something I can’t think of right now. It’s too hard. But maybe I can take up production and marketing later. In fact, the latter is something I’m qualified in and have work experience in that department too. It interests me a lot, in terms of how to get a film’s message across to people, who haven’t lived with it the way we actors have for eight-nine months," she elaborates.
