“I’ve learnt that profit is the ability to take risks. If you don’t take a risk, there are no profits. So no, I had no inhibitions about casting them,” says Mehra.

Harshvardhan, who is actor Anil Kapoor’s son and actor Sonam Kapoor’s younger brother has already signed two more films post maiden project Mirziyan.

Asked if his acting style was influenced by Anil Or Sonam, Mehra says, “Siblings will be compared in terms of their approach but they are different and they belong to different generations. For an actor, even if you are twins of same gender it is important that they leave their own impression of acting.”

The filmmaker believes that everyone has an individualistic style of acting and filmmaking. “I see five seconds of any cinema from 50s or 60s and I can tell who the director is. For me, art is a thing that has to be individualistic; there needs to an individual impression and it has to have your own interpretation. Also, what set up you are working with and what your collaboration is comes across,” he says.
