Imtiaz teams up with 200 dancers

After working with the professional dancers from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA), in Jab We Met’s hit song Ye Ishq Hai, director Imtiaz Ali decided to shoot with them once again while working on Rockstar.

After working with the professional dancers from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA), in Jab We Met’s hit song Ye Ishq Hai, director Imtiaz Ali decided to shoot with them once again while working on Rockstar.The group that specialises in the folk dance of Tibet left the director impressed by their talent. “While shooting for Rockstar in Dharamshala for a concert sequence for Saadda Haq, Imtiaz suggested calling the same group of performers from Shimla with whom he had worked during Jab We Met,” says a source from the production team. Rockstar will hit theatres on November 11.
