Befikre is one of the biggest releases this year, which also marked the return of Aditya Chopra to direction after eight years. His last directorial venture, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, released in 2008.

Befikre is also a throwback to some previous Yash Raj camp films.

Now, when Befikre is running to fairly packed houses in multiplexes, the makers would be hoping to cross the much celebrated Rs 100 crore mark as soon as possible.

However, this is something which can happen only with overwhelming audience support. On that front, the potential viewers would be looking at the critics’ ratings and analysis before deciding to book their tickets.

But those who have already seen the film have divided opinion on Befikre. Here we have listed a few who have sent their reviews on Desimartini.

Smitav Kumar: Befikre is a classic YRF movie. It is lavishly produced, has beautiful people living in exotic places doing all sorts of very hip things like making out in a convertible and wearing Playboy underwear with crystals (him) or stripping in a library (her). It makes you forget real life for a while as you enjoy their befikre story. The movie also forgets that there is something called drama and emotional tension that makes it worth watching. Otherwise it becomes a series of music videos in Paris.

But one thing is surely good. While in the modern romantic relationship, we always suffer from self doubt of whether forever is even true, we also know that if we stick together in good and bad times, if the other person can still bring a smile on your face after that bad argument or ugly fight, it is definitely meant to be!

Rahul Deo Bharadwaj: Befikre politely put is Aditya Chopra’s most shoddy effort till date. Vaani Kapoor’s colossal charm and Ranveer Singh’s extremely spirited effort cannot save this movie which tries too hard to remain youthful and breezy. The problem is roughly half an hour post the start the breeziness becomes stale and repetitive and the young generation’s obvious and natural inclination towards physical side of love is repeated till it starts become boring.
