“I thought it would be too interesting to have a trip through the deadliest roads but I never knew how scary it would be, as have never been on that route before. I knew it would be difficult but when I actually landed there, it was way more tough and life threatening,” recalls the actor, who travelled from Manali to Leh-Ladakh on a truck.

Though the Dilwale actor loves to travel and explore new places but he admits he’s only used to comfort travelling. “I’ve never been a fan of exploring far off places or living in the most uncomfortable situations. But this particular show and journey has changed my perception about a lot of things. It had nothing to do with comfort at all,” he says, adding, “We were staying at terrains without electricity, hotels, phone network or hot water. It was indeed tough to live without a phone and WiFi for a month. Also, we had to eat what was cooked right there without any choice of dishes.”

Actor Varun Sharma says he got to spend a lot of time with himself while he was a part of this travel show.

Happy to have been part of the show, the actor says it taught him a lot about life. “I feel now I can travel and stay wherever possible and in whatever conditions. I realise comfort has nothing to do with travelling and it’s the nature and different places that give you happiness,” he adds.
