Filmmaker Karan Johar’s upcoming production, 2 States, based on author Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name, will hit the theatres on April 18 next year.

The film is being directed by Abhishek Varman. “2 States, which stars Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be releasing on the 18th Of April, 2014,” Johar tweeted.

The movie is a Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala production, and while Arjun plays the character of Krish Malhotra, Alia plays Ananya Swaminathan in the movie.
