Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who were involved in a war of words last year over Sonam Kapoor's comments on the latter in Koffee With Karan, seem to have decided to bury their differences.

Johar posted a picture with Bhansali on Tuesday from the success bash of Amitabh Bachchan-Deepika Padukone-Irrfan Khan-starrer Piku, sparking rumours of the patch up.

Quoting another guest from the party, Mumbai Mirror reported on Wednesday that the filmmaker duo met "as if they had never fought". "They looked at each other....And just smiled. It was as if they had never fought. They spoke for a good 30 minutes about everything, from current films to their past differences. By the time they were ready to go home, all was well," the report added.

"It's nice when you meet old friends. and start over as if you'd never fought. The bitterness is behind us now, for good," Bhansali told the tabloid.

The director, however, had issues with Sonam's opinion and lashed out at Johar. Bhansali felt that Saawariya (2007), his ‘work of art’, was childishly reduced to a ‘blue film’ by Karan and said that his protégé will never look so beautiful again, because no director will work so hard on her. “Both Karan and Sonam need to learn to have more restraint, dignity and respect for fellow filmmakers,” he had said.

Responding to his comment,

Karan Johar

said, “So many people have said so much about me. I’ve kept quiet because I’ve been brought up well. Sonam too has great lineage. We have great respect for Sanjay, but he seems to lack a sense of humour.”

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Karan Johar had said, "Friends don’t behave the way he did. Now he’s no longer one. He’s only a competing filmmaker."

Now they're back as friends, we guess!
