The 26-year-old actor will be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in her next film, Raabta and just like her previous movies, Kriti wants to be with her family on the first day of the film. “Since my parents are here [in Mumbai] with me, so they have been there for all my film’s releases. Honestly, I like it that way, and I prefer that they watch the film with me [only],” adds the actor, who made her debut with Heropanti (2014) alongside actor Tiger Shroff and was later seen in Dilwale (2015) opposite Varun Dhawan.

But unlike her parents, Kriti says she goes through mixed emotions on the day of the release. “I’m quite nervous and excited at the same time. I think one is bound to be nervous since it’s the first day of the film, and you’re anxiously waiting for people to respond to something that you have worked so hard for. The film’s fate lies in the hands of the audience,” says Kriti, adding that she’s also quite eager and curious to know what people think of the film. “You want to see how people react to it. I don’t think too much about it and it’s not like I get sleepless nights on the release day,” she says.
