Lensman Maajid talks about Bollywood photoshoot

Celebrity photographer Maajid Khan says the camera is the love of his life, will never stop working hard.

Celebrity photographer Maajid Khan is a strong believer in destiny. He says, “Passion has been my fuel. I see beauty in everything.”

After trying his hands at random professions, in September 2008, Maajid turned to photography. “Since then, the camera has been the sole love of my life. Time teaches techniques, but you can’t do without the keen eye,” says Maajid.

In the course of his professional journey, he has learnt the technicalities of the different subjects in photography and has worked on the understanding of various moods, emotions and camera angles.

Summing up all that he has learnt, having functioned within the industry, he says, "I like to work with those who have faith in my work, professionalism and creativity."



He admits being just two-year-old in the profession, he doesn’t want to dole out advice, but when asked to share his formula, he says, "I work hard and keep track of technical advancements, as well as studying other international photographers’ work. It helps me improve my style. The key, however, is to capture a star’s mood while you are shooting them."



Super charismatic

Salman isn’t just another super-star, he is a different personality. His aura has no definition. He is very natural in front of the camera. I would say he was born to charm the lens. You don’t need to worry about angles, mood or style when you have Salman in front of the camera. Working with him is a pleasure. This is a memorable picture, which I was fortunate to capture on the sets of Veer in London.

She understands camera angles
Very rarely do you come across some beautiful and brainy. And that’s what makes Priyanka Chopra so unique. This former Miss World is the dream girl of millions. Working with her was a privilege. She comes with a good understanding of camera angles and knows what would work for her. Every time I see this photograph I thank Karan Johar and Karan Malhotra for giving me an opportunity to work on Agneepath’s stills. Zareen is very simple and easy to work with

Hers is a very refreshingly charming face. Her innocence touches the heart while her elegance soothes the soul. She is a new age beauty with the rare charm that went with the black and white era. Zareen is very simple and easy to work with. She is a child who acts as she has been told to. This photograph was shot at Royal College, London, and it sure speaks a thousand words.

It was quite effortless shooting with him
Working for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who creates art and poetry on the sets of his film was a dream come true. And capturing the Greek God aka Hrithik Roshan himself for the first time was an incredible experience. While clicking him on the sets of Guzaarish, I realised that he and his character in the movie were one. It was quite effortless shooting with him.
