Madhurima impressed with Akshay’s simplicity

While the general perception about Bollywood superstars is that they come with loads of starry tantrums, actor Madhurima Tuli seems to think otherwise. Tuli, who will share screen space with actor Akshay Kumar in his film Baby, says that the latter has no starry hang-ups.

While the general perception about Bollywood superstars is that they come with loads of starry tantrums, actor Madhurima Tuli seems to think otherwise. Tuli, who will share screen space with actor Akshay Kumar in his film Baby, says that the latter has no starry hang-ups. “Akshay sir does not behave like a superstar at all on the sets. He was like a friend. In fact, he is very ­humble and behaves like an ordinary person,” says Tuli, who was seen in Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008).

However, the actor admits that she was very nervous before meeting Akshay. “I could not sleep the night before and was even nauseous. I was a nervous wreck. But then when I came on the set, everyone was so nice that I calmed down,” she says.

Ask her how she bagged this Neeraj Pandey film and she shares, “The industry is very competitive. For five years, I wanted to be a part of a big film and now it has finally happened. I feel that the commercial which I did for a mobile brand completely changed my life,” she says. Having got this break, she says she will be very careful while choosing her next ­project. “I have got offers but I don’t want to rush. Now I will be very choosey about my next film and not just pick anything random,” she says.
