After a bevy of Indian beauties such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sonam K Ahuja marking their presence at Cannes 2018, it was the turn of Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan to make heads turn. And she did it in style. Making her Cannes debut on Monday evening, the actor stunned in a black, figure-hugging off-shoulder gown and walked straight into the hearts and minds of many. Mahira is representing L’Oreal Pakistan.
Sharing a picture on her Instagram account, the Raees actor wrote: “#lorealpkatcannes #cannes2018 #lorealcannes.”
In another picture she shared, the Mahira wrote: “And then there are these stairs...”
Mahira was a picture to behold -- her peaches and cream complexion perfectly juxtaposed against her black evening gown. She accessorized it only with a multi-layered necklace (perhaps diamond), a pair of earrings and a heavy-duty bracelet with blood-red lipstick to compliment her look.
And yet this look almost didn’t happen. According to IANS, the actor opted for this dress after the ensemble she was due to wear got stuck at the customs and didn’t turn up in time.
However, the actor has been posting pictures from the French Riviera since her arrival and they have added to her summery charm.
The highlight of the pre-red carpet affair is, of course, her floral off-shoulder dress from the studios of Blumarine, reports NDTV. Her minimal make up, pink lip stick and gold earrings made for a compelling sight.
Mahira had earlier posted a picture in which she wore blue flared jeans and a white top with a smart and shimmery stilettos.
On Monday morning she also posted a picture of herself in a pale pink saree. According to the NDTV report, the saree has been styled by Menahel and Mehreen. Opting for a plait, Mahira wrote: “Khajoor waali choti.”
