“I have underplayed myself in the film. I had to use my charm to convince director Kabeer Kaushik to let me play this character as he could only imagine me in glam roles,” says the actor who was last seen in Dear Friend Hitler (2011).

“If worn well, even a cotton sari can look sensuous.” Neha feels that even though Maximum is a cop-mafia drama, her role still stands out. “The story is set in a time when the frequency of face-offs between the underworld and cops was high. While people glamorise both cops and dons, they fail to understand that the women behind these men very subtly played a big role in their lives,” she adds.

However, it won’t be long before Neha trades in the sari for svelte gowns and western formals for the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Rush. She says, “The good thing about being an actor is that I get to wear a variety of garments, which may or may not differ from my personal style. It helps me experiment.” In Rush, which releases in October, Neha plays an entrepreneur who runs a huge media house.
