Wedding planners from Shaadi Squad were responsible for pulling off their gorgeous engagement on Saturday. Remember how magical — lush floral arrangements, dramatic lighting — actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli’s wedding in Italy was? The same Mumbai-based wedding planners were behind Priyanka and Nick’s intimate and romantic engagement.
A celebrity wedding planner needs to not only coordinate the event, negotiate contracts with vendors, and make sure everything goes smoothly but also ensure there are no crashers, no unwanted photos and no paparazzi, of course. So, Priyanka and Nick were wise to hand off the heavy lifting to the pros.
Much like Anushka and Virat’s highly-custom and high-design destination wedding, there was something theatrical about Priyanka and Nick’s engagement setting. Priyanka’s home in Mumbai was decked out in lights and out-of-the-box floral decorations, including an over-the-top wall covered in greenery that bore the couple’s initials. The wall brought a sense of whimsy to the festivities and made the perfect backdrop for all of Priyanka and Nick’s photos. It was beautiful, but felt organic and not fussy.
