There has been a spate of speculation over Bhandarkar’s upcoming projects. In September, it was reported that Bhandarkar had been asked by T-Series head Bhushan Kumar to remake Aashiqui that starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. The other buzz was about Fashion 2, for which he is rumoured to have approached Madhuri Dixit, who is back from the US to Mumbai for good.

Meanwhile, work on his most ambitious project, Heroine, starts November-end. "Heroine principal photography to commence from end Nov!" Bhandarkar further tweeted.
