Actress Zarine Khan, who was more in news for being a Katrina Kaif-look alike than for her performance in her debut film Veer, is happy that finally she is being recognised as Zarine.
“Till now I was only being compared to XYZ and I was really struggling to make a mark for myself... probably I am on the right path to make my individuality, which gives me immense pleasure,” said the 27-year-old, who earned praise for her item song Character Dheela in Ready.
The actress had a dream debut opposite Salman Khan and is being tagged lucky baby of Bollywood.
Though she is trying to find a firm foothold, Zarine says she has no idols.
“To be very honest, I have no idols because I never wanted to become an actress. I have become an actress by destiny. But yes, I do look up to a lot of people here. Everybody is a superstar, everybody is so big in their own way. So, I look up to everybody and learn from everybody,” said Zarine who is also working in Tamil film Karikalan.
She is looking forward to a happening 2012 as she has two big films Housefull 2 and Partner 2 lined up for release.
