Tusshar however sounded anxious about his turban-clad character. “I was more stressed than excited, as I did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. Therefore, I tried to be as authentic as I could,” said the 35-year-old, who says that actor Sunny Deol is his favourite onscreen Sikh.

“He is the real sardar, as the machoness and personality that is needed to portray a Sikh character comes easily to him,” he added.

Though many raised eyebrows at the remixed version of yesteryears’ hit— Chandni O Meri Chandni, Tusshar is unperturbed. “Critical views are meant for critics. I feel the song is the USP of the film, and we have given it a fresh appeal. Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi ji, who featured in the original, launched our song and were satisfied,” he said.

Personal front
I’m not committed, right now I am in an experimental stage and having lots of fun.
