While she doesn’t admit to or deny being in a relationship with anyone, actor Priyanka Chopra says that she has never let a busy schedule come in the way of her love life. “I have never said that I don’t have time for love. You don’t need to make time for love. Love just happens. As far as my relationship status goes, it’s for me to know and you to find out,” says the 33-year-old, who was rushing for a shoot of her American show Quantico at Los Angeles at 5.30 in the morning when we spoke to her.

Priyanka has been busy balancing her show as well as her upcoming film Bajirao Mastani, which is why she has to travel a lot. While she says that this has made her schedule hectic, she is glad that she is able to be a part of both the projects. “I have to shoot Bajirao Mastani this month. It’s (balancing the two) physically exhausting and I am very tired all the time. But it is my choice and I want to be able to do both, so I guess I will have to suck it up and just do it,” she says.
She has collaborated with rapper Akon and musician Pitbull and now plays a lead in an international show, but Priyanka says that she still does not feel like a superstar. “I never felt like a star even with my work in India or here (LA). I’m an achiever and I like being able to achieve. For me, it has always been to extend myself as an artist and I have been very lucky for the opportunities that have come my way. It’s not something that is tangible. I believe our achievements create our legacy,” she says.
While the show is yet to air in India, Priyanka has her fingers crossed and hopes that the audience likes her performance. “It is a new show and I am a new actor in this land. So I am nervous. I am also nervous about reactions from people who already know my work. Will they like what I have done? As an actor you always think about these things before a release. But when you are done with it, then it is out of your hands. The result is the sum of the cumulative effort of all the people working on the show. Let’s hope that it is positive,” she says.
The actor says that she was also very worried about her accent on the show and is glad that people are liking it. “Thank god. I was very stressed out about having to do an American accent. There can be a thin line and there are times when I have crossed it. I had a dialect coach with me on the sets every day.”
