Pakistani actor Meera, who has been in the country to shoot for Ajay Yadav’s film, Bhadaas, has been sued by the makers for allegedly leaving the film in a lurch. “According to our agreement, she can’t leave the country till April 30, but she has gone without informing me. The film releases on May 24 and she won’t be here for the promotions. I can’t hold the film till she’s back, so I’ve lodged a complaint with the Versova Police Station,” says producer-director Yadav.

He also claims that on March 21, he had informed Meera that while the dubbing for the film would be done in the first week of April, the film would release in May. “I’ve managed to complete the dubbing, but the promotions are yet to begin,” says Yadav. He also reveals that the actor had been creating problems even before this. “She was constantly after me to increase her remuneration. Apart from that, she had huge problems doing some scenes,” he explains.

Apparently, Meera was supposed to contest the general elections in Pakistan against Imran Khan this year. Now, she is reportedly campaigning for her mother, Shafqat Zarar Bokhari, instead. Despite repeated calls Meera remained unavailable for comment.
