His body of work boasts of an impressive range of roles - from a romantic saga to a musical to a touching story of a deaf and dumb boy in Barfi!. And now Ranbir Kapoor is also keen on doing a sports-oriented film.

"I would love to do a film on football, hockey, boxing, kabaddi or anything as long as it has an interesting story build upon it," Ranbir told IANS. "A film is only made if there is an engaging story behind it. If you are just making a film for sports without an engaging story, then it doesn't matter," he added.

The 29-year-old spoke on the sidelines of NDTV's Marks For Sports 2 campaign.

Ranbir is a sports enthusiast himself, and says it is important to indulge in one kind of sport to remain healthy. "My favourite sport has been football. I love playing football, but now I don't get time to play football. I am upset about it because I also feel that to live a healthy lifestyle you must play a sport, you must be active. A healthy lifestyle comprises good sleep, good sport and good exercise," he added.

Ranbir said: "It's really interesting that all these people are coming together for this campaign to build a healthier country. I hope we will be successful."
