Ranveer-Arjun remind Subhash Ghai of Ram-Lakhan

Veteran film-maker Subhash Ghai is quite taken by the pairing of Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in their upcoming film, Gunday. He feels that their on-screen chemistry is rather impressive.

Veteran film-maker Subhash Ghai is quite taken by the pairing of Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in their upcoming film, Gunday. He feels that their on-screen chemistry is rather impressive.

“It was an emotional moment for me when I watched the Koffee With Karan episode featuring Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and saw them dancing to ‘My name is Lakhan’ with a lot of excitement and energy,” says Ghai.

After watching the show, he sent over signed posters of his 1989 film, Ram Lakhan, which starred Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. Ghai feels that Ranveer and Arjun share the same kind of camaraderie that his heroes shared in that film.

“I sent Ranveer and Arjun the posters of Ram Lakhan signed by me to express my feelings,” says Ghai. To add a personal touch, the film-maker also added a line to the poster. To Arjun, he wrote: ‘You remind me of the same energy as Lakhan had in my movie’.
