Rhea Chakraborty: Nothing comes easy in the film industry; stakes are always high

Actor Rhea Chakraborty talks about her career plan and why she won’t follow any set pattern for taking up roles.

For Rhea Chakraborty, it’s not been an easy journey in showbiz. The actor, who shot to fame after her first Bollywood film, Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013), went on to do Mohit Suri’s recent directorial Half-Girlfriend, as well.

Asked why she’s taking it so slow, Rhea says, “I think nothing is easy in this [film] industry. There are so many people who are trying their luck in films and only a few of those actors get to do films and choose to be an actor. The stakes are always high here. It’s hard in the sense that it’s very uncertain. There would be times when you will be getting work, but not the kind that you want to do.”

Rhea will also do a cameo in Dobaara, which also stars actors Saqib Saleem and Huma Qureshi in lead roles. While a lot of actors are sceptical about doing small roles during initial phase of their career, Rhea doesn’t believes in such ideas. “I don’t go by what you should do and what you should not do.
