Riteish Deshmukh fits into Kapil Sharma's boots, turns Bank Chor
Riteish Deshmukh seems to have hit the jackpot post his super performance in Ek Villain. Now, Yash Raj Films has signed him for Bank Chor, a film that was supposed to be Kapil Sharma's Bollywood debut.
After creating a storm at the box office with his evil charm in Ek Villain, we hear that Yash Raj Films has signed Riteish Deshmukh for their home production, Bank Chor. A comic story of three 'morons' trying to rob a bank, the film was earlier supposed to be debut film of TV star . The film is scheduled to go on the floors immediately.
Talking of his latest project, Riteish said, "Loved the script. Loved the character. Loved the team. I’ve always liked to push the envelope with the choices I make. This film allows me to potentially rip it apart. Watch out there’s a new Bank-Chor in town!"
Ashish Patil, business & creative head, Youth Films, Brand Partnerships & Talent Management at Yash Raj Films said Riteish was one of the most exciting actors and added that with Bank Chor, Riteish will be in a role he is most comfortable with -- comedy. "He adds the scale, madness and weight that this project deserves. The audiences are in for one helluva ride now,” Patil added.
Riteish has given back-to-back hits at the box office this year with Ek Villain and Humshakals.
Bank-Chor is directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil.
