Filming a movie based on a book can be tough deal. That’s what the team working on director Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! realised while hunting for the perfect location to shoot a sequence for the film which is adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel, The 3 Mistakes of My Life.

“We wanted to match the location to the one described in Chetan’s book. After a long hunt, we came across the Hatkeshwar Mahadev temple, which is around two hours away from the city,” says Manish Hariprasad, UTV creative head on Kai Po Che!

Upon reaching the location, Hariprasad reveals that the unit was thrilled to discover some interesting trivia about the place.

Bhagat’s The 3 Mistakes of My Life is about three friends, Govind, Ishan and Omi, who want to pursue their dreams. Set against the backdrop of religious politics, the story underlines the three mistakes made by Govind.

The film’s production house, UTV Spot Boy, is keeping the lead actors of the film under wraps. However, according to a source, actor Sushant Singh Rajput is playing one of the friends in the film. “He is here shooting for the temple sequence,” reveals an insider from the production unit.
